PI GIS Tech needed in Houston Texas – Great Opportunity!

Our Downtown Houston, TX client is seeking a contract PI GIS Tech.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Knowledge of common workplace practices including practical office safety and typical document retention.
Migration and organization of electronic data files.
Support maintenance, review and control quality of available GIS raster and vector data.
Effectively perform and track multiple mapping projects.
Simple to complex spatial data analysis including extracting data from various databases.
Provide assistance to meet Texas Railroad Commission filings and corporate reports.
Assist associates with investigating non-technical problems and capable of technical research.
Utilize cooperative working relationships with other departments to fulfill project requirements or task request.
Integrate good verbal communication and organizational skills.
Self-motivated and works independently.

Required education or minimum level:
High School GED
Effective use of a PC and standard office equipment

Experience:
Minimum 3 year experience working with GIS, or GIS production environment.  Preferably in the Gas and Oil industry support services, such as operations support, engineering support, pipeline integrity services, or mapping department.  Technical certifications or college credits will be considered in lieu of work experience.
Experience using ESRI based software including the ArcGIS suite, ArcSDE or ArcGIS Server and available extensions.
Knowledge of cartographic skills, including setting projections, use of spatial imagery, processing spatial data, attributing to/from various formats, import/exporting from various repositories, run analysis, familiar with the uses of various data types and application factors.
Ability to pull routes from electronic or paper alignments, sketches or other spatial representation including GPS points.
Excellent computer and organizational skills.

Our North Dallas, TX client is seeking an Customer Service/Inside Sales representative on a contract to possible hire basis.

Duties:

  • Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between Outside Sales Reps, Customers and Inquirers, interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions.
  • Receive all Purchase orders, review for accuracy and forward to manufacturers as necessary.  Acknowledge order to customer – including but not limited to estimated ship date, shipment tracking, submittal and approved drawings – update Project and Purchase Order reports accordingly.
  • Perform reception duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications and spreadsheets.
  • Cross train with Inside Sales Manager – must be capable of performing all Inside Sales responsibilities.  Continuously cross train as new inside sales staff and inside sales functions are implemented.
  • Interpret instructions and issues arising, and then implement actions according to administrative policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage every level of detail of the VP’s schedule by gaining familiarity with meeting purposes and priority levels, rearranging meetings as needed to maintain orderly flow of priorities.  This will include on-site, off-site, international, and networking/community meetings.  Make the “magic” happen discretely behind the scenes, such that it appears effortless.
  • Develop strong relationships with the other Executive Assistants (in Houston and in Perth) such that rearranging meetings with Perth are effectively and easily navigated.
  • Due to the global nature of our company and business, be available and alert during “after-hours” if the leader has meeting such that last minute changes do not cause conflicts or confusion for the leader.
  • Make domestic/international travel arrangements, including flights, transportation, accommodations (temporary and long-term).  Prepare daily/weekly travel agendas and manage details to ensure the executive is well prepared as necessary and all last minute changes are managed such that meetings and necessary materials flow effectively.
  • Ensure the leader is fully prepared for meetings by planning ahead, considering appropriate attire, travel times, a need to have lunch, breaks, and generally be intuitive about what needs may arise.  Plan ahead.  Know what he needs before he knows for himself.
  • Thoroughly understand how to use the electronic equipment for video conferencing, prepare materials (copies, electronic presentations, etc), equipment (video, computer projector) and conference room for meetings.
  • Support “all employees” meetings by ensuring the room is prepared properly and ready ahead of the start of the meeting.  When sending out “all employee” meeting requests, take ownership that all goes according to plan for the presenter(s).
  • Ensure orderly flow of documents needing approvals and make proper alerts regarding any deadline issues that may arise.  Be comfortable enough to push back when requests for signatures come at the last minute and ensure deadlines are “real.” Ensure requestor had initialled documents, showing his/her endorsement before leaving for the signature.
  • Manage credit card reports, coding of expenses, and receipts, such that timely and accurate submissions are made.
  • Utilize SAP and other internal systems to create purchase orders, process billings/invoices, and ensure timely payment of bills.
  • Navigate other internal matters on behalf of the leader such that there is very little distraction from key priorities.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, file room, copy room, and workplace.  May have sole responsibility from time to time, as other admin team members are on leave.
  • Capability, willingness and relentless pursuit of influencing a strong, ultra professional culture of dignity and respect for all, with a can-do spirit, and a no-victims attitude where accountability and reliability are essential for survival and are sought rather than avoided.  Ensure this approach is infectious across the admin team.

Key measures of success:

  • Develop and maintain a reputation for being no-nonsense and extra-ordinarily discrete regarding business matters or personal information of leaders.  This reputation should including being knows as someone who loves the company, the people, and the work environment.
  • Travel arrangements are executed without any incident or “surprises” to the traveller.
  • Invoices and credit card reports are completed and submitted for payment in a timely manner.
  • Schedules are managed without any “surprises” to the leader(s).
  • Is known for positive, collaborative culture with all Admin Team members.
  • Scheduling conflicts are quickly and easily resolved without involving guests, and only infrequent need to raise conflicts to a leader for resolution.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree required; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience working in an administrative assistant/support role in a highly professional office environment; 5+ years directly supporting senior leaders/executives; at least 2 years’ experience at and Exploration and Production (E&P) company.
  • Expert user of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Expert experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for creating reports, letters, spread sheets and presentations.
  • Proven record of strong organizational and multi-tasking skills while maintaining a strong positive attitude.
  • Proven ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees within an organization (including upper management), utilizing political savvy to influence outcomes that always position the leader and the business in the best light.
  • SAP experience a plus.

  • Completion of 3 college level accounting classes, including bookkeeping, payroll and intermediate accounting, at a minimum, is required; BS in Accounting preferred
  • Intermediate to advance MS Excel, Word and Outlook skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Professionalism and confidentiality required
  • Experience using integrated accounting software programs required, Quickbooks preferred
  • Treat all co-workers and customers with the utmost respect at all times

Document Administrator needed in Brookshire Texas

Our Brookshire, TX client is seeking a contract to possible hire Document Administrator.

Summary:

Manages receipt/distribution of order related documentation from/to multiple sources per contract requirements to/from the customers.   Insures pump documentation is issued to the affected departments in a timely manner per department policy and procedure manual.  Prepares expediting reports and interfaces with internal and external customers to insure conformance to requirements.  Reports discrepancies or issues to assigned Project Manager, in a timely manner, to expedite resolution(s).

Responsibilities:

Manages and organizes receipt and transmittal of documentation per procedure (via hard copy and electronic copy) to internal and external customers in a timely manner

Processes customers’ returned documents with approvals and/or comments to affected departments

Prepares documentation reports and interfaces with internal and external customers to expedite outstanding documentation

Assembles and organizes documentation for Instruction, Operation & Maintenance Manuals

Monitors submittal requirements

Issues Order Instructions as required for approved documentation

Archives Materials & Project Coordination order documentation

Assists Project Managers with documentation reports for customers

Performs other miscellaneous assignments and research projects as assigned

Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards

Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

HS Diploma or equivalent required. Secondary education preferred.

4 years experience in administration or project field required.

Experience with engineered products, quality principles, and related technical knowledge preferred.

Knowledge of pump manufacturing preferred.

Ability to determine purpose / action required for accurate pump documentation.

Strong organizational and communication skills, problem solving, attention to detail, and ability to independently manage several projects at one time.

Proficient in the use of MS Windows programs required.

Proficient in use of SAP.

Our Channelview, TX client is seeking a three month contract Bilingual HR Administrative Assistant to cover a maternity leave.

Responsibilities:

Make time clock changes; correct any discrepancies.

Keep record of Semi- Monthly Absentee sheets.

Put together New Hire packets and prepare New Hire folders.

Review payroll hours for temporary employees.  Adjust as needed then forward to the temporary agencies.

Invoice coding for temporary agencies.

Sort and distribute payroll checks.

Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with Quality Policies and Procedures and meeting Quality Objectives.

Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum two years experience in a similar role.

MS Word and Excel experience is required.

Attention to detail.

Ability to work in a busy environment.

Bilingual- English/ Spanish.

Must keep HR information confidential.
